Why Choose Our Rug Repair Course?
So what makes our course different? Well we are a full time rug cleaning and restoration company and Sian works full time in the business. She is repairing rugs on a daily basis all year round, and she’s been doing this for the last 8 years.
We strongly believe that the best way to learn is to be hands on and not reading a manual or watching someone else do the work, you will repeat the repairs multiple times during the 2 days, committing the repairs to muscle memory.
You’ll also take home your own rug sample that you worked on during the course, this will be a good reminder, you can continue to practice on futher and you can also use it as a repair sample to show your customers.
About Sian the course Teacher
Sian has always had a passion for Art and Textiles and studied both at A level. She has been in the floor cleaning industry for over 16 years and has been restoring and repairing rugs at Arcadia Rug Spa for the past 8 years.
Sian completed the Woolsafe Rug cleaning techinicain course with Ruth Travis in 2016, completed Julie Roberts colour restoration course in 2018 and Gabriel’s colour restoration course in 2023.
Although Sian is mainly self taught in rug restoration, she has spent time with a number of experts over the years, spent countless hours studying books and videos and in her early years bought 2nd hand rugs that she took apart and put back together again. Now she has a vast back catalogue of rug repairs and restoration and is repairing rugs on a daily basis.
